Piercing Aftercare

Solution: 1 teaspoon of non-iodized salt (sea salt), to 8oz of distilled water.

Dip Q-tip in solution and clean both sides of the holes all around the jewelry 2-3 times daily.

For oral piercings, use Biotene non-alcohol based mouth wash at the start of the day and after every meal for the internal side of the hole. Use the “Solution” for the exterior side.

If yellowish crust forms, remove it with the above methods.

What To Expect

Swelling is a normal part of the healing process. Some locations swell more than others and the swelling will go away in 2-5 days on average. Some slight discomfort for the first couple of days is also to be expected. Do not move jewelry any more than absolutely necessary. Do not change jewelry until piercing is completely healed. If piercing holes remain red and irritated for longer than 7 days please contact your piercer immediately for the proper care instructions.
